1.
Hold your tongue and let the rest of you slip. A lighthearted exchange between ruler and servant. Those of us who know death is imminent seem to bruise the same in spite of our cognizance. Action and real change replaced with ignorance. The thick skin that protects you now won't allow you to grow anyhow. Divorce this husk from its marrow, now your sentiments aren't as narrow. Upsetting the imbalance while being faultless in your mind will change with time. Sleep better understanding being bitter just compliments the sweet. Staying awake in constant battle outshines bitter sleep. Another late morning suffering banal schemes. Failures from the night before applaud my lucid dreams. I am the architect of their world. The end to their means. Pushing wind through their lungs and tearing at every seam. I'm told that I have a son named Contempt and he takes after me. Another week down the drain and everything remains the same. (Hold your tongue) Did Father Time forget to take his sleeping pills once again?
2.
Distended 01:52
Canvas worn thin. Palate is looking grim. Albers is weighing in. On your extended limb. Let's keep connections undetected, our ties built on lies (so shallow). We are told that pride is why we sin. I've never been proud of anything I am. Same gestures, different paces. Affording these moments that dissolve with our pigments. These pollutions forever plague us. Not speaking but protesting with distended silence. Exhausted notions and forgotten devotions. Left framing emotions never to be hung. Nothing but gray days will follow. Spent ambitions, jaded values turned sallow. An instance worth composing now left hollow.
3.
The feet and the weight they bear. Slide through the hall and creak down the stairs. In my room I breathe stale air. A current of thoughts flood my head with despair. By my side, magnetized. Arms are glued, fingers numb. By my side, I'm denied. Hanging on relation. By my side, fears implied. Falling in-formation. In our prime, we've sought the same. Temporal satiation. In our prime, aspersions were cast. Through this quarrel of consecration. In our prime, conditions maimed. On temptation, actions are blamed.
4.
Tilt back your head, yawn at the sky. Ignore what is said, it's ours to deny. Spurned and misread, we blindly reply. If we hide in the shed, we'll never survive. Approach the humble entrance, inhaling winter's sting. Dig with splintered handles just to get through spring. Collective impatience won't allow the ice to thaw. Strike it into shards and expose all of its flaws. Go to work. Fall asleep. Grind your teeth and then repeat.

Palms Open 02:56
You've lost your right to shed a tear and mourn them. Years of constant care - you made your choice to deny them. Yes, roles have changed, still no sign of you, forgotten. It's obvious this has escaped concern, disregarded. You can't really expect the sick to visit you. There is no excuse for this lack of allegiance. Under the table our names lay still in ink. This lasting gesture marks our childhood together. Under the tree, hung side by side. Paying for crimes we'd later make. So glad you have set aside the time to pay your respects that no longer expect payment from you. And your vacant sense and attempts of doing what's right. In your mind you ignore the gaps and relapse to the child inside you've denied. Just catered to your selfish side. Gazing down as the spade lifts the last piece of earth. That will seal all we've said to them, been to them. Kneeling above the ground where we have laid them. Elbows crooked, eyelids peel, palms open to the firmament.
